28 November 2023; Warmtelinq information meeting

For local residents and businesses around Valkenburg Lake who want to know more about WarmtelinQ’s thermal transport pipelines in their municipality, together with the province of South Holland and Vattenfall, we are organising a meeting on Tuesday 28 November.

Where and when?

  • Locatie: ECC Leiden, Haagse Schouwweg 10, Leiden (Room De Loft).
  • Datum: dinsdag 28 november 2023
  • Time: 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
  • Registration is not necessary, it is free walk-in.

The route of the pipelines

We know where the pipes will be and how we will lay them. We will show you this at the information meetings. Would you like to know more now? Then take a look at this page. Here you can watch a film about the guided drilling method.

Environmental Impact Report (EIA), Provincial Environmental Plan (PIP) and studies

The studies on the effects of WarmtelinQ on the environment are ready. The results are in the Environmental Impact Report (EIA). We looked at all kinds of issues, such as the impact on biodiversity, archaeology and meadow birds. The studies are important input for the Draft Provincial Infection Plan (PIP). This PIP can be compared to a zoning plan for the province.

The provincial executive is likely to adopt the draft Provincial Environmental Impact Plan (PIP) and Environmental Impact Report (EIA) in November this year. It will then be released for consultation. From 8 December, the reports and all underlying studies can be consulted (online). You can react to them between 8 December 2023 and 18 January 2024. We call this submitting a view. More information can be found here.
