Cyber congress for entrepreneurs in Katwijk


One in five entrepreneurs becomes a victim of cybercrime. During this meeting on 24 Janauri in Katwijk, evening chairman Ewout Genemans will ensure that attendees are provided with practical tools to make their businesses digitally safer and prevent cybercrime.

This meeting is organised by the Municipality of Katwijk, in collaboration with PVO (Platform Veilig Ondernemen), Laat digitalisering voor je werken and the KOV (Katwijkse Ondernemersvereniging). The evening is specially intended for entrepreneurs.

The meeting starts at 6pm with a walk-in including dinner and ends at 9.30pm. The programme is as follows:

  • Start of programme with evening chairman Ewout Genemans and opening remarks by Mayor Visser
  • Experiences of entrepreneur Xander Koppelmans ‘What a cyber attack really does to your business’
  • IT expert Jaap Schouten speaking: ‘Why are you vulnerable as an entrepreneur?’ and ‘How do you become digitally secure?’
  • Cybercrime account manager public-private partnership police, Vincent Stittelaar, on police deployment and reporting
  • Short round of questions to the speakers under the guidance of evening chairman Ewout Genemans
  • Drinks

This cyber congress is the first in a series of congresses in the region. Later in the year, there will be congresses for entrepreneurs from Voorschoten, Zoeterwoude and Leiden at least.
