Leiden iGem team 2022 requests help


iGEM is a synthetic biology competition in which more than 350 teams participate worldwide. The iGEM competition challenges student teams to solve local and global problems by designing genetically modified organisms.

From 26 to 28 October 2022, the grand finale of the iGem competition will take place. This year it will be held in Paris. In the famous Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles.

The iGEM Leiden team 2022 aims to produce nanoparticles of gold and silver that can be used in cancer therapy. They genetically modify the bacterium E. coli so that it can make these particles.

Help request

On 15 September, they will present their research at the Life Science Café. They will also present their request for help:

“What is important for upscaling our project and how do we make the translation from iGEM project to start-up?”
