Liander requests your 10-year electricity forecast

Liander requests your 10-year forecast

As an entrepreneur, you want to be able to rely on a reliable electricity network. Receiving sufficient power when you need it. Fortunately, this has been going very well in the Netherlands for decades. We have one of the most reliable grids in the world!

Capacity

Rapid economic growth and the effects of the energy transition are causing the electricity grid to become increasingly full at more and more locations in the Netherlands. This means that the grid manager, Liander in this case, must first expand the grid before new entrepreneurs can be connected or existing entrepreneurs can grow. An extremely annoying situation!

Getting a picture of future demand

You can help to plan the necessary grid reinforcements in good time by participating in the so-called ’10-year forecast’. Liander will be asking all large business customers for this forecast this spring. You are a large business customer if your connection is larger than 3×80 ampere.

Request

In this questionnaire, Liander asks you to outline the development of your power needs, expressed in kW (not to be confused with your annual consumption in kWh). Not a simple question, but very important for the functioning of our electricity network in the future!

When filling in the forecast, take into account plans for electric transport, switching from natural gas to electricity or generating electricity by means of, for example, solar panels. Of course it is important that you fill in the forecast as accurately as possible. It may be wise to ask an installer or energy advisor to help with this.
