The OVBSP has been a big supporter of Leidens’ incubation programme Unlock_ since it started in 2021. We regularly receive invites to participate in various parts of the programme. Last month a delegation of our board joined the ‘Unlock_ Meets the OVBSP Pitching Session’. There a new generation of entrepreneurs introduced their companies through a short pitch. These young entrepreneurs’ positive energy made a lasting impression on us, which we would like to share with all of the LBSP.
Hereby a short impression of all companies that gave a pitch:

- Axite: Tracks brain activity via EEG and smartphone usage for epilepsy patient monitoring.
- Secuped: Remote monitoring for early diabetes foot ulcer detection.
- Rehealth: Comprehensive remote patient monitoring platform integrating medical devices.
- Airoxbio: Novel influenza vaccine targeting conserved viral regions.
- Driehoek Therapeutica: Heparanase inhibitors to prevent cancer metastasis.
- VitaScope MS: Non-invasive real-time biotech process monitoring with mass spectroscopy.
- StemX Bio: 3D in vitro models for efficient diabetes drug testing.
- KNR Biotech: Lab automation services for efficient scientific research.
- 1NA: Analyzes drug effects on DNA processes for efficient drug development.
