Webinar Transport of Goods by Water

9 February 2022, from 15:30-17:30

From 2025 onwards, only clean vehicles for goods transport may enter the inner city and the station area of Leiden. Leiden is one of about 40 municipalities that will introduce a zero emission zone by then.

Water transport, as it was more than 400 years ago, and waterfront transhipment points (urban distribution points) can provide a sustainable solution for the transition to cleaner forms of transport.

In order to map out what entrepreneurs can expect from the government and what they themselves have to do, the Province of South Holland, Entrepreneurial Leiden and the City of Leiden are organising a webinar especially for entrepreneurs on Wednesday 9 February 2022, from 15.30-17.30 hours.

During this webinar, we will do the following:

  • Share facts and figures on the possibilities of goods transport by water.
  • Informing about laws and regulations coming into force on 1 January 2025.
  • Identifying opportunities and risks together with entrepreneurs.
  • Sharing inspiring practices.
