Zernikedreef will be closed to all traffic from 14 October to early May 2025 between the watercourse near TNO and the Darwinweg – Sandifortdreef roundabout.
What will happen?
Work to complete the first phase of the ‘Hartlijn’ can finally begin after two years. To complete the Hartlijn, it is necessary to extend the two existing culvert bridges over the waterways. This will require, among other things, the installation of sheet piling. This will be done with a large piling rig. To carry out the work safely for both the surrounding area and the contractor, it is necessary to close off all traffic on Zernikedreef. This concerns the road section between the Darwinweg – Sandifortdreef roundabout and TNO.
The Hart Line footpath and cycle path will be open to pedestrians and cyclists from mid-March 2025. Work on the Zernikedreef carriageway is also expected to be completed by early May 2025.
